Zipper!

On cleaning day in the craft room I found this large bag of zippers and now the questions is what the heck do I do with them? What was my original intent for these... I haven't A clue! I guess I should write on my boxes why I am saving them and what I candgo with them. Please tell me, I am not the only one saving all of crazy kinds of things and can't remember WHY!...lol

So I am open to suggestions! Or should I just goodwill them?

Here in Southern California it has been pouring rain for about 12 hours straight so I am using my time to put things together for Etsy! Just a few to start with! I think you can see what colors I was drawn to!

You can see the rain pouring out my front aluminum awning. All I hear is the sweet rain hitting the top. Music to my ears. Time to get cozy and have a cup of cocoa!

Things so small have such elegance! The dainty and petiteness of these salt cellars and spoons had me drawn to them. I can see why little girl's always want to play tea party it had such a warm a cozy feeling with it! Playing with small little pieces of china and dressing up all girllee!
We really need to spend more time enjoying simple things than trying to rush. Whoever said bigger was better? It's all in the eyes of the beholder.


Sorry I have neglected my blog... Life sometimes gets in the way! Time for me to get back on track!

Well, I am sorry for not posting for a while but, I have been a very busy little elf! Here is one of my example of my handmade Christmas gifts! I am so happy with how this turned out. I had get hubby involed with my crafting this year too. It was great Date nights for US!

This year we made crosses, stocking, hair bows, blankets and baked goodies!

Well here is one of my latest creations! Things have been so crazy here I have had no time to craft or think!

Here's how it started I was cleaning the other day and picked up my pink candle stick and I thought maybe I should just give it to GW and then my brain went into over drive and..... Oh my this would make a very cute tree for Christmas. So of course I had to go digging through my vintage Christmas decor and starting hot gluing!

I made two of these! I love it. Just wanted to blog about this fun new creation and tell everyone sorry, I haven' t blogged but life has been so hectic lately!

Here is the question of the week! I am not a big collector Goofus Glass but, I came across a small Collection and couldn't pass them up, they where displayed so pretty! I told my self they would fit in this on section of the cupboard but, needless to say I don't! Of course they are so pretty I just want to keep them but I must be real, I can't keep everything!! Or can I? "nope" :(

So, I have decided that I should part with this pretty Antique collection. They are looking for a new happy home. I paid high price for them but, I willing to part with all 3 of them for $75.00 or best offer plus shipping. Just send me note or post a comment :)

My Romantic Thanksgiving Table Place Setting

This year I really wanted a romantic chic look to the table! So this morning I was inspired by a coffee and a walk in the front yard! It so foggy and misty, I just love it when it looks like fall outside! There is dew on all of my plants. As I looked around I picked pieces of my plants to make a small arrangement. Well, from that it started me on the hunt as to how, I could set the table for thanksgiving! I played with lots of things I had but, finally one just came together!

Don't you just think it has that soft romantic feeling? I am ready to have a Thanksgiving dinner now with me myself and I! lol I hope this will inspire you to look around and see what kind of table you will set.

Sorry, I have been very busy lately! I took on a lot of Swap and Life have has given me some serious curve balls!

My nerves are on edge! I have my 20th Class reunion in 1 week and not sure about the whole thing! At first I was dying to go and now I realize most of the friends I really wanted to see and visit aren't attending (**sigh**) Plus, I had high hope to get off my bottom and loose some weight. I am not sure why I felt it was important but either way it has bummed me out, I haven't lost a pound!! I have been walking for 2 month and nothing?? Well, I am making my heart healthier right!! Second big issues is who has $200 for dinner and chit chat? Not me! Okay... (vent over)

Last I am having surgery in 2 weeks lots of female issues and soI going into do 1 procedure and depending on what the doctors find I might end up with a hysterectomy . Well I am not 40 yet and I don't want it but, I guess I have to do what needs to happen right! I have been praying a whole lot!

Now for the fun stuff! SWAPPING

13 Days of Halloween exchange arrived! Just and few more days and I will be able to open and you can see all my get gifts on the count down starting on OCTOBER 19Th!!

This is one of the many projects I have been working on for my Etsy shop. the material has been stashed away for about 3 years now..lol Well as you can see I have put it to really good use! I have fallen in the with the Stocking, so I had to hurry and get it listed before I wanted to keep it! Believe it or not I have 3 other styles I will be listing too! Oh yeah, I made a trick or treat bag and headbands.

I am participating in Show off Monday & Rococo Fan Swap ! This is one of the Fans I made. This one won"t make it to my partner! My problem is I am never sure of my work or if this would be my partners style...lol

I really need to get a little lot more confidence in my work. I really did 3 fans and finally sent the last one I made.

So, I guess why I am posting about this, is get feed back as to how I get over the fear of giving my own work (and selling)! Any hints or suggestions? Give it to me!! Do tell!

This the first fan I made out of full fabric with cardboard down the middle to add

some stiffness to it.

Here is the actual fan I sent off to my swap partner! ( I hope Terri doesn't see this yet...lol)

The background on the fan is from Vintage fabric, I scanned and copied. Then on the back I spray painted over the top of a dollie to give a lace look,

Well.. I found myself very drawn to this wall. I must admit it is rare for me~ I seem to be more of a plain kinda gal with colors on the wall and yellow isn't my thing...lol

So, the more I looked beyond what I didn't like, I found a true beauty in the whole thing!! I saw a spiritual collection of Crosses on a beautiful wall. I just wish I could be as creative and bold to do something like this in my home!

Well, I do have a small collections of crosses so there's a start .. right? So, I think I will be searching for more... I am inspired~!

Beauty comes in all fields of Art. I am searching and seeking where the beauty with in lies again...

Sharing one of my favorite places I like to sit and have peace! Just an old rustic metal bench, I gather tons of pillows and a cool cotton sheet . And there I lie thinking and finding my solitude.

There are small places for everyone of us, a nook here and cranny there. Where do you find your peacce?
